Blog Post #2

This is a picture from 10th grade on the day I had finished taking my midterms for that year. I seem quite calm in this picture, with a slight smile developing on my face, partially due to the fact that I found it amusing to ride a unicycle at school. I believe this picture gives off a mellow and complacent mood. I was very content with my current situation in this picture, celebrating the completion of exams with a joyride. To me this picture reminds me of the love and dedication I had developed for my unicycle, as I had ridden it to school this day, a tiring 2.5 miles each way. My friend Will is to the right of me, fixing some drum carriers for the drum-line. This evokes memories of enjoyable times I had when I played for the band in high school, whether it was for symphonic band, marching band, or jazz band. Also pictured is the lunch table I always ate at for my last 2 years of high school. It is interesting that this is the table, because at the time this picture was taken, I had never sat there for lunch before. Many great times with friends have been spent at that table since, whether we were finishing some last minute homework before lunch was over or simply talking about nonsense and eating a sub-par school lunch. As simple as this picture may be, it reminds me of many memories I have from high school.

  1. I like the details and corresponding emotions you provided in this blog post. And I don't understand how you unicycle-d that far. I bet I could barely do that on a normal bicycle.
